Boeing mora družini žrtve strmoglavljenja letala 737 MAX v Etiopiji plačati 28 milijonov dolarjev

To je bila prva civilna tožba proti ameriškemu proizvajalcu letal po strmoglavljenju letala 737 MAX 8 družbe Lion Air oktobra 2018 in strmoglavljenju letala Ethiopian Airlines.

Zvezna porota v Chicagu je družini svetovalke Združenih narodov, ki je umrla v strmoglavljenju letala Boeing 737 MAX v Etiopiji leta 2019, prisodila več kot 28 milijonov dolarjev odškodnine. Odločitev je bila sprejeta po tedenskem sojenju in je prva civilna tožba, ki izhaja iz nesreče, v kateri je umrlo vseh 157 ljudi na krovu letala Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302.

V Chicagu se je začela prva civilna tožba v zvezi s strmoglavljenji letal Boeing 737 MAX. Družine žrtev nesreče letalske družbe Ethiopian Airlines leta 2019, v kateri je umrlo 157 ljudi, zahtevajo odškodnino. Boeing je priznal odgovornost za nesrečo.

Družine žrtev letalske nesreče družbe Jeju Air, ki se je zgodila konec prejšnjega leta, so v ZDA vložile tožbo proti ameriškemu proizvajalcu letal Boeing. Družine podjetje obtožujejo proizvodnih napak, ki naj bi bile vzrok za nesrečo. Tožba je bila vložena na ameriškem sodišču.

Ameriški letalski proizvajalec Boeing je prejel dovoljenje ameriškega regulatorja FAA za povečanje proizvodnje letal 737 MAX. Po incidentu z odpadlim delom letala družbe Alaska Airlines je bila proizvodnja omejena na 38 letal mesečno, zdaj pa lahko proizvedejo do 42 letal mesečno.
